Event Rules for upcoming party

THE NEW ENGLAND DUNGEON SOCIETY (NEDS) WAIVER OF RESPONSIBILITY
This document is required to be read and signed by ALL participants before joining NEDS or being involved in any NEDS- sponsored activity.
Valid State Identification MUST be presented upon presentation of this signed document. NO EXCEPTIONS.
This is agreement certifies that _______________________________________________, (heretofore referred to as “I”, “Myself”, “Me”) am of sound mind and body at the time of reading and agreeing to the terms of this Waiver of Responsibility. I understand this is a legal, binding agreement between myself and NEDS, and understand and fully comprehend NEDS is an organization designed to promote education and self-responsible safe practice among bondage, discipline, sado-masochism (BDSM) lifestyle practitioners, within existing consensual relationships between individuals, or made by mutual consent with or without an act of writing. I also understand that NEDS provides a hosting environment for the purpose of safe, consensual education by way of private social gatherings and special events, and by sponsorship of such events between two or more parties.
By signing this document I confirm and agree that:
 Discretion is paramount at NEDS. What and who I see here, stays here. (Hear, hear!)
 I am (18) years of age or older at the time of reviewing and signing this document.
 Dungeon Monitors (D/M’s) are in charge of all activity (scenes) at all times and have final authority over ANY issue. I understand that I am encouraged to communicate with the DM’s if I have any questions or concerns.
 I understand mutual consent distinguishes BDSM from physical or mental abuse or assault. Context is what determines whether or not pain is pleasurable, and the context depends on the individual.
 Safe, Sane, and Consensual behavior is a mandatory at all times. NEDS does not condone, suggest or approve non-consensual behaviors or activities or unsafe practices! If such interaction is your preference, NEDS is not the group for you. The use of safe words and/or signals is required. I understand and agree that I should immediately report any nonconsensual abuse to the DM’s.
 I understand and agree that I am not allowed to touch anyone without permission. I understand and agree that I am not allowed to interfere with any activity without replied consent from the person in charge (TOP) of that scene.
 I understand and agree NEDS is NOT a sex club, and NEDS does NOT provide partners for people.
 I understand and agree fees collected are for the purpose of supporting the sponsoring entity’s expenses, and do not entitle payer to anything other than admission to the event. Anyone found engaging in or soliciting an act of prostitution will be permanently expelled.
 I understand and agree that firearms, drugs, illegal beverages will NOT be allowed on NEDS property.
 I understand and know that NEDS condones activities only between consenting adults, and that such activity may involve acts of partial or full nudity, Domination, submission, bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism, and extravagant trust or object reverence commonly regarded as fetishes.
 I understand and realize accidents can happen in BDSM practice, as in any other physical activity. I further understand that these activities involve certain risks including, but not limited to, the possible negligent or reckless conduct of it’s participants, and I further deem that NEDS nor any affiliated supporters or sponsors should be held responsible for any such negligent conduct.
 I accept the assumption of risk and I am aware that BDSM activities are considered extremely hazardous. I am voluntarily joining/participating in events hosted at NEDS for the purpose of gaining insight, understanding, and education for the purpose of participating in these activities privately, with full knowledge of the dangers involved, and I accept and assume full responsibility for any and all risks of property damage, personal injury, or death.I agree that neither I nor anyone through me or on my behalf will make any claim or bring a lawsuit against NEDS or anyone affiliated with NEDS. (i.e. owner, operator, employees, volunteers, promoters, sponsors, and contractors, and including, but not limited to owner, lesser or suppliers of any equipment used in connection with demonstrations or social entertainment held at NEDS) for any injury or damage suffered at any time while at NEDS, and I hereby release, waive and forever discharge them, their heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns, from any and all claims, demand, actions or rights or action, of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, arising from or by reason of my attendance at or participation in the event or actives.
 I agree to indemnify and hold harmless NEDS and those individuals and entities described in the above paragraph from any liability, injury, damage or financial loss that may occur to me or due to my presence or my actions, whether by negligence or otherwise.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN ME AND NEDS, RELENQUISHING NEDS FROM ALL LEGAL, LIABLITY AND DAMAGING ISSUES AND REMEDIES UPON SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT.

 You are not under the influence of any illicit substances and will not partake in the use of any substances, including alcohol, while in attendance.
 You are a member of the private group renting the premises for a private event that may include nudity or sexual interaction in your presence and you have made a reservation to attend this event with full knowledge of the nature of the event.
 You assume all risk of liability incidental in your attending this event and release, and waive any and all liability, claims or demands against, the sponsors of the event which may arise out of, or be related to, such event.
 You do not serve in any capacity as a law enforcement officer, investigator, inspector, agent, employee or informant of any municipal, county, state, or federal governmental agency or department.
 You are not a reporter, employee, investigator, independent contractor or informant associated with, assisting, or employed by, any broadcast, print, internet or other news or entertainment media nor any organization which disseminates information in any way to the general public.
 You are not bringing a camera or other recording device of any kind into the premises and will not use any surveillance, photographic, camera, camera phone, video, digital, audio or other recording (audio or visual) or similar devices in or near the premises.
 You will maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained through attendance at the premises, including, without limitation, the location, the identity of any attendee, and the activities occurring at the premises.
 You agree to be bound by the terms of the full Choice Membership Agreement as attached.

NEDS Road trip and Play Party: Providence, RI

Strapping it On!
This class is perfect if you've never used a strap-on before or explored anal play and will give the kinkster who's familiar with anal play & strap-ons the opportunity to get some more insight into techniques & toys to enhance the dildo fun! We'll cover safety basics for both holes, good toys for anal & vaginal strap-on fun & harness styles, and exercises for learning how to use them skillfully. (Think Jane Fonda meets Babes in Toyland!)
You are welcome to bring the dildos and harnesses you already own, or just rope if you don't have a harness yet.

Madelyn (Miss Wyld) first pegged a boy in 2003 and still loves to poke with her Feeldoe. She has been an active part of the public kink scene through Vermont, New Hampshire, & Boston since she found the wonderful people, communities, and events. This one time, at kink camp....

Hello NEDS members,


 NotSo and I returned from Dark Odyssey Fusion yesterday; what an experience!   It was our first time at Fusion and it took as a long while to decide to go to the event in the first place.  We decided on Fusion because of the laid back, sex positive, kinky culture that it boasted.  We were not disappointed!

After our 7 hour drive (during which I slept 6.59999 hours of) we arrived in Northern Maryland with nervous energy.  At registration we knew we had made a great decision arriving at camp on Wednesday to get some downtime prior to the whole event beginning.  At Fusion you have the option bring your own tent or rent a cabin bed.  You also have an option to purchase a meal plan or prepare your own food.  NoSo and I got cabin beds and the meal plan; we wanted to make sure we got to relax and did not want to worry about food prep or cleaning.

Okay now onto the good stuff.  We took a stroll up to the Dungeon, and oh man...it was fabulous.  As someone who has not been to many large scale kink events, I was super impressed.  They had every sort of lube and protection (including chucks) that I could have wanted.  They had tons of equipment and space.  The lighting and music was spot on, it really put me in the mood to play from the minute I walked in.  Which I would image is the point.  There was also an outdoor dungeon that was equipped with all sorts of hardpoints.  In addition to that outdoor dungeon, there was an open air dungeon in the pavilion which was fabulous.  Again tons of equipment and space to play.  NoSo and I played in the open air space and indoor dungeon, and we had a great time in both places.  There was another outdoor space called Sex-O-Rama, I am sure you can guess what that was for ::wink::

What was even better than the space was the people who were in attendance.  The community was awesome and friendly.  It was great to meet so many people from across the country and globe who came out for this event.  Speaking of people from everywhere, Fusion had tons of well known presenters giving classes every day from sunrise to sunset.  I planned on going to more classes than I did, but I was having so much fun skinny dipping and meeting new people that I was a bit of a slacker in that area.  I did see an awesome class on Mind Fucks put on by Eric Pride and a great and informational class on Watersports put on by Boymeat.  I would highly recommend either of these presenters.

One of the highlights of camp for me was the kidnapping scene that I had.  At camp you can "sign up" to be randomly kidnapped during camp.  Not everyone gets kidnapped, it depends on the year, so by Sunday I assumed it wasn't my year.  I am into interrogations, and fear, not really into pain so I wasn't sure what they would come up with.  So on Sunday as I was "innocently" walking down the road to another campsite I was jumped, hooded and carried to a nearby field.  Once in said field I was waterboarded until I told them all my sexiest fantasies.  I think i unnerved them slightly by giggling most of the time, but gosh I was having fun!

NotSo and I can't wait for next year, and we hope that even more NEDS members will be there then!

Pervertables Class Review

Hello NEDS Members,

  I am sitting here sipping on a blueberry iced coffee and thinking about all the fun/evil/amazing fun we had last night at the class.  Special thanks to Silverdreams for planning yet another wonderful presenter for us.  For those of you that were not able to get here, I will provide my personal review of the class.

KinksterGeek, taught a fabulous class on Pervertables.  He discussed these as being traditionally "vanilla" items that could be made into something fun for a scene.

Places he suggested to look for items along with some additional selections from yours truly:

• Home Depot or hardware stores
• Tack Shop (Horse Supply stores)
• Gardening supply stores (HELLO! Garden Weasels anyone?!) 
• Pet stores (collars, cat toys, bells, you name it)
• Toys R Us (toy soldiers, and other ridiculous or humiliating items can be found) 
• Camping stores-you can find mallets here for tent stakes 
• Craft stores-cheap feathers and rhinestones plus tons of other fun things to let your imagination run wild 
• Christmas Tree Shoppe- Huge ass fly swatters for 2 dollars
• Job Lot, you never know what you might find
• Dollar Stores - clothes pins 
• Yard Saling 

Anyone else have more suggestions? Comment here and I will gladly add!!  Also, tell us what you buy, send pix and I will post :) 

Other helpful tips:  Please don't be "weird" at the store when you are shopping, you don't want to get kicked out or draw negative attention to yourself.  So if you are like me and you are in the rope section nearly wetting yourself, try to keep that underwraps!

Safety:  

• Make sure your items are not porous and are able to be cleaned appropriately 
• Be sure that your items don't have seams in them if you are going to use them as an insertable, you could cause unwanted harm-sad day!  
• Most things are insertable, not everything is removable!!  
• If you are not sure, ask someone more experienced about how to properly clean something, or if it could be used.

Fun Times:

  2 of our lovely NEDS members went head to head using their kinky creativity to come up with the sickest ideas of how to use an item pulled out of a bag.  One of our newest members passionateyes walked away with her very own Garden Weasel!  I have no doubt that she will put it to good use.  

The class wrapped up with some very interesting electricity play.  I don't know about you, but I have never seen better or funnier reactions than I did watching FireWalkerSwitch!  He would laugh and ask for more and I really can't describe it, but it was fabulous!!!

Annual Picnic Recap

Hello Kinksters!


  I just got back from the NEDS picnic and I had such a blast.  I want to personally thank silverdreams for organizing the whole thing, and really making the event shine.  I also want to thank Railen for doing so much of the cooking and membership transactions.  You all are such hard workers, it is nice to be on your team.

Jade_Desires and NotsoVanillo won first place in the scavenger hunt.  Each taking home a special new toy to add to their ever growing collections. Among other things, Domino led a fabulous on-location whip practice, which was so helpful to many of our members.  Thank you for being so willing to teach people :)  The weather was hot and the dust and dirty was furious, but everyone seemed to have a great time.

I hope that you all had as great of a time as I did.  I also hope to see you at our monthly class which will be held on Friday June 14.  Fetlife Event Page, the topic this month is Pervertables.

In this session, Kinkstergeek will explore the world of improvised toys that you can find practically anywhere. He will cover how to assess the safety of found objects, where to find pervertables in your own home, places to purchase new toys, uncommon and unexpected uses of everyday items, and will share some favorites from his toybag. If you're lucky, he may even show you his garden weasel…

Don't let his sweet and innocent looks fool you, Kinkstergeek is an evil bastard, bratty top, cuddly sadist, and sick fuck, not to mention a total geek. He loves all things sharp & pointy, electricity, & meat tenderizers. In his five years in the scene, he's developed a passion for some of the edgier aspects of the kink world and is a strong advocate of both in-depth research and safety. You will often find him giggling in the dungeon while making people squirm in creative ways.

Note: As always, NEDS will hold an orientation for new members or those new to the scene prior to the class beginning at 6:30. Attendance at the orientation is not mandatory to attend the class, but it is recommended if you're new to the group or to BDSM in general.
